He’s like an urban legend.
– discussion in my calculus class on the new principal, and how nobody has seen him.
so our principal left, apparently.
note: i don't quite know how to respond to this, as it's not often that the principal of a high school gets removed or relocated (or whatever) halfway through the school year. here are other seniors thoughts on the matter, gathered from facebook statuses (because that's where i always gather thoughts from). my opinion? the former principal was a pretty decent guy, it's going to be odd to see what happens next.
w.s: bye bye Castro :(
a.l: 6 years with Castro, now what? better not be a principal who ruins my 2nd semester senior year.
a.o: Knowing Mr.Castro, this is probably just a setup to a really lame april fools joke.
j.g: I was hoping it was all just speculation, but it looks like the rumors are true. Apparently, according to a PTO e-mail that went out, Castro has been re-assigned to Lee. He's been my principal for six out of the last seven years. It's a shame to see him go. He's a nice guy. *Sigh* Fare thee well Mr. Castro.
a.m: castro is leaving! this sucks! him and i were bamfs together!
m.l: I does not want to shake hands with some unknown principal when I graduate. Apparently, they did the same thing to my brother at Askew. 'Cept graduating high school is much more important. Not happy.
